Past winners of the GSC challenges continue to enjoy fantastic success from the exposure generated by entering the GSC.
This is the full story.
This week has marked a special point in Kromek’s history as they welcomed His Royal Highness the Duke of York to open Kromek\'s new, state-of-the-art headquarters at NetPark.
The Duke showed great interest in the history of the business, how their technology works,
and plans for growth. He was given a tour of our development and production facilities, as well as a demonstration of their bottle-scanning machines.
The better, bigger NETPark facility signals a prosperous, long term future for the business, and will enable Kromek to continue to reach out to global audience. The opening came a week after Kromek\'s acquisition of California-based Nova and rounded off another exciting period for the business.
The Royal visit was a tribute to every member of the Kromek team, which has worked tirelessly to get our business to where it is today. Kromek now represent one of the UK\'s fastest growing technology businesses in an extremely tough climate.
Also announced was the appointment of new non-executive director, Dr Graeme Speirs who joined the Board. Having received a first class honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, Dr Speirs moved into the oil and gas industry and is an expert in the manufacture and design of polymer composite products which the Groups exports to energy companies worldwide.
Dr Speirs will be bringing over 25 years of entrepreneurial and operational experience and will provide strategic and commercial guidance to Kromek, as well as helping it to develop its relationship with the oil and gas industry, where the company is currently pursuing a new product application with an industry leader.
Dr Speirs commented on his appointment: \"I am delighted to be joining Kromek\'s management team. The company has a world beating technology base which is creating both intellectually challenging and commercially exciting opportunities. I look forward to helping Kromek become a globally-renowned technology solutions provider in a number of high-value markets.\"
